Description: Teach 9th-grade Physical Science and 10th-grade Biology.

Job purpose: Work cooperatively in order to support a positive Christian school environment, teach in their field of certification, and assist in other school programs as assigned without repeated reminders.  Plan, organize, and implement appropriate instruction in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop their academic potential and grow spiritually.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Education Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university.
  • Valid credentials from a state and/or from another recognized accrediting agency for the appropriate grade level.
  • Professional Certification or ACSI Certification 6 semester hours or 18 CEUs of biblical studies

Specialized knowledge: all teachers must have ACSI biblical philosophy of Christian school Education (can be obtained in your first year of employment)

Skills, Abilities, & Other Characteristics:

  • Born-again Christian, an active member of an Evangelical church, and evidence of good moral character
  • Native English speaker or equivalent
  • Employees shall be persons who are able to understand and respect other cultures and work harmoniously and effectively in cross-cultural situations.
  • Maintain a close personal walk with God as evidenced by his/her example and spiritual leadership among peers and with students.
  • Observe the Matthew 18 principle in conflict resolution. Avoid a negative, critical spirit. Take problems to the appropriate administrator.
  • Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration, and/or staff development. Working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, current researches best practices and strategies, and as well as students’ learning styles and needs, both academic and affective.

Experience: Educational experience is preferred; student teaching is acceptable.

  • Teach subjects and classes as assigned using established curriculum along with supplementary materials, field trips, specials guests, etc. to enhance them.

Attend and participate in the following:

  • Morning devotions.
  • Teachers’ meetings
  • Evening programs that involve students from his/her section of the school.
  • Other meetings as assigned.
  • Do supervisory duty as assigned before, during or after the school day.
  • Complete the necessary paperwork including the following:
    • Daily lesson plans
    • Mid-quarter progress reports
    • Quarterly reports cards
    • Ministry grade sheets
    • Inventories of classroom equipment, supplies, and books
    • Other paperwork as assigned or requested
  • See that assigned classrooms are kept in a neat appearance.
  • Maintain proper classroom discipline, taking care of minor problems personally and referring major problems to the appropriate principal.
  • Be available to any parents or students who wish to have a conference, even before or after school.
  • Hold conferences with parents on Parent-Teacher Conference Days in accordance with guidelines established by the principal.
  • Supervise extracurricular activities, organizations, and outings as assigned.

Job purpose

Supervising and maintaining the efficient operation of the FACTS and SACE educational platforms, ensuring the updating of information, resolving technical issues, and providing comprehensive user support, while fulfilling educational and administrative management responsibilities.

Duties and responsibilities

FACTS

  • User profile and access management.
  • User support.
  • Data updating.
  • Student enrollment.
  • Family portal control.
  • School year and grading period management.
  • Synchronization, linking, and class registration between systems.
  • Report generation.
  • Application of formulas for information validation.
  • Backup generation.
  • Academic control, management, review, and configuration (report cards, transcripts, grade submission, emails, rankings, Google Classroom, classes, grades, templates, etc.).
  • Security roles and system configuration.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting on platforms.
  • General management of the FACTS system.

SACE

  • Registration and assignment of teachers and students.
  • Transfer management and class assignment.
  • Generation of official documents in SACE.
  • General system configuration (enrollment, schedules, class assignment, equivalences, etc.).

Qualifications

Education: Administrative Informatics or related field.

  • Specialized Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
    • Knowledge of JavaScript in JavaScript programming language and JQuery library.
    • Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
    • Manipulation of .HTML, .CSS, .JS, .TXT, and .CSV files.
    • Knowledge in SQL language and SQL Server database.
    • Ability to detect errors and incidents.
    • Proficiency in English language comprehension.
    • Management and understanding of platforms at an administrative level, websites, and local environments.
  • Skills, abilities, and other characteristics such as personal characteristics:
    • Willingness to assist others.
    • Respect for lines of authority and the roles of colleagues.
    • Honesty, loyalty, and transparency with the institution and its personnel.
    • Discretion and respect for the dignity of coworkers, applying ethical principles in interactions with them.

Working conditions
This position requires someone who enjoys customer service and can deal with clients even when they are not behaving pleasantly. You are the first point of contact and kindness for our parents, teachers, and students.

Physical requirements

Our school is located on a mountain at 5500 feet of elevation. We do have sidewalks, but the terrain can be rocky and, depending on the year, muddy. It can be a steep climb from one building to the next. Our environment is not considerate of those with physical or health ailments. Being in a heavily forested area also gives us a potential throughout the year for high pollen counts and pollution rates.

Description:  Teach one or two courses of mathematics to various sections. The classes we offer our students are Pre-Algebra (7th), Algebra 1 (8th), Geometry (9th), Algebra 2 (10th), Pre-Calculus (11th), AP Calculus (12th), and Statistics (those in 12th not taking AP Calculus).

      • 18 semester hours in educational studies including 1 secondary methods course (a teaching reading course will also be required if certified in the areas of language arts or social science) and student teaching at the secondary level
      • ACSI biblical philosophy of Christian school Education
  • Specialized knowledge: All teachers must have ACSI biblical philosophy of Christian school Education (can be obtained in your first year of employment)
  • Skills, Abilities, & Other Characteristics:
