When to Apply?
As a bilingual Christian school in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, we recommend submitting your admissions application as early as possible. Early submission increases the likelihood of finding an available space for your child.
Here are the recommended application dates by grade level. We encourage families to begin the process promptly to secure a spot if space is available.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Academia Los Pinares teach the Bible or biblical principles?
We teach the Bible as the inspired Word of God and emphasize how to apply its truths in daily life. We teach biblical truth as absolute truth.
We are Catholic; can my child go to Pinares?
Yes. The school environment is based on Christian principles.
What spiritual activities do you offer?
Both in elementary and secondary, our teachers pray and give devotionals to their students.
- In Secondary, we have mission or spiritual service projects, small groups, and social outreach activities.
- In Elementary, we have Spiritual Emphasis Week and the Challenge Club (5th and 6th Grade). This after-school club offers students a unique opportunity to study the Bible, deepen their faith, and build lasting friendships. Through engaging discussions, activities, and small group fellowship, students connect with each other and their teachers. It’s a space where they can ask questions, share experiences, and grow together in a positive, faith-centered environment.
What are the school hours?
For K3 Montessori, from 8:30 to 2:30 p.m.
For Preschool and Elementary, from 7:30 a.m.to 2:30 p.m.
For Secondary, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
Each school year begins in early August and ends in early June.
Do universities offer scholarships to Pinares graduates?
We have a college counselor who assists students in their college application process, and several universities visit us throughout the school year and offer scholarships to students who meet their specific requirements. For example, the ALP Class of 2024 received a total of $1,168,121 in scholarships and financial aid and was accepted into more than 80 colleges and universities across 6 countries worldwide.
I am not of the Christian faith, but I’m still interested in enrolling my child. How does ALP approach this?
We welcome families of all faiths, as well as those with no religious affiliation, and we respect their beliefs. However, we remain committed to our foundation in the Christian faith. This means that our students will be required to participate in spiritually related activities as part of their overall educational experience.
