Academia Los Pinares Elementary Curriculum
Our elementary program emphasizes bilingual fluency and academic excellence. Core subjects are taught by native or near-native English speakers, ensuring students refine their spoken and written English, academic vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
Comprehensive Subjects Taught
- In English: Bible, mathematics, English language arts, science, and social studies.
- In Spanish: Honduran social studies and Spanish language arts taught by Honduran nationals.
- Specials: Computer, art, music, and physical education are taught in English or Spanish.
Biblical Integration
Scripture is the foundation of all learning, reinforced through daily classroom devotions and weekly chapel sessions. Every lesson is designed to help students grow academically and spiritually.
Curriculum
Our diverse and comprehensive curriculum is based on the Common Core State Standards, the Next Generation Science Standards, the National Council for Teachers of Social Studies standards as well as the standards put in place by the Honduran Ministry of education. Students are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop their unique talents while working within this curriculum.
